Made of turned mahogany, the Fern lamp restores the connection of a finished object with it's manufacturing processes through its rotational form language, inspiring people to think about how their everyday objects are designed and created.

Most people don't think about the craftsmen and workers who put together the objects they own.

My goal was to create a desk lamp that highlights it's material and lathe-turned fabrication process, giving people a clearer undersanding of how objects are brought into this world.
